What we do here is we tutor kids at school that need a little help. We started by reaching out to schools that were rated low, and we first found a school called Santee Elementary.
We contacted their principal, and she was really nice and let us come and tutor the kids. It turned out that, after looking at all the kids' STAR testing results, a lot of them needed "immediate intervention". Basically, STAR testing is the test at the end of the year that lets the teachers know where the kids are in their learning career.
We have been teaching at Santee since 2018, and since 2019, we started at a new school in Fremont called Brier Elementary. We are really excited and grateful to have the opportunity to work with these wonderful students and help them grow!
